About
Jerry Hogeveen
Jerry Hogeveen is an executive consultant, coach and facilitator and brings over 35 years of organization and consulting experience to helping leaders make their workplaces more satisfying and productive. Jerry has worked closely with organizations across North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia to design, develop and deliver enterprise-wide programs and processes to enhance their executive and leader effectiveness. Specific assignments include helping them build their performance cultures, increase levels of employee engagement, lead change, enhance collaboration, develop more effective leadership teams and support senior leaders assume more senior positions through executive coaching.
Experience
Jerry worked as a global Executive Consultant with Oliver Wyman Learning & Development, Mercer and was VP Consulting for Achieve International. Jerry has worked with clients across a number of different industries and geographies, a sample of these clients include Ascension Health Care Systems, Allstate, Barclays, BP, CEMEX, Citibank, Coca-Cola, Daimler-Freightliner, EMC, Franklin Templeton, Mass Mutual, Mercer, Ministry of Attorney General and Social Services, Novartis, Primark, UBS and Whitbread.
Prior to consulting, Jerry was the head of learning and talent management for Wang Computer Europe, Pepsi Canada and the Canada Permanent Trust company.
Additional Practice Areas
Jerry was a guest instructor in the Strategic Leadership Program at University of Toronto. Given Jerry’s purpose in helping organizations become more satisfying and productive his underlying passion is to help leaders become more skillful in having the right conversations with the right people at the right time. His passion for making a difference is also pursued in his volunteer efforts to develop the leadership capabilities with a cohort of Lutheran Pastors in the Eastern Canada Synod, as a change mentor for schools through an initiative called The Learning Partnership and as a hockey coach.
Academic Affiliation
Jerry earned a Master’s degree in Adult Education from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor’s degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is certified in a number of psychometric assessment inventories including the Hogan Suite, MBTI and FIRO-B, Conflict Dynamics Profile. Jerry recently completed a Gestalt Institute IOSD program involving a cohort of participants from around the globe.
Personal
Jerry lives in Toronto, Canada, with his wife of 45 years. They have two grown children and three grandchildren. In his free time, Jerry enjoys travelling, reading, cooking, entertaining friends, playing hockey and golf.
