Jo Fisher

Jo is a senior professional executive coach, supervisor of other coaches and consults in the areas of organisational effectiveness & people. Her primary interest lies in how organisations can empower and engage and unlock the passion of all employees and how together they can create a system that supports diversity and cohesive agile teams.

She brings to her work over 25 years international corporate experience in Human Resources Management, including focus on Talent and Organisational Effectiveness and total people solutions. Jo has lived and worked in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, China, United Kingdom and has had responsibility for both Asian & global portfolios.

Jo spent most of her corporate career working in the ITT sector for Alcatel-Lucent, a company with 52,000 employees. During that time she worked in partnership with the business across many key projects, including global outsourcing projects based in NZ & HK. Jo also took on the role of VP South East Asia for Human Resources and managed the HR functions in Thailand, Vietnam, Laos & Cambodia.

Jo has a particular passion in dealing with cross cultural and diverse complex environments and thrives when dealing with executives and teams in these spaces. In her most recent corporate role Jo was the APAC Leader for Coaching & Organisational Effectiveness. As one of only three certified coaches in the Alcatel – Lucent global team, Jo coached members of the executive team. She also trained and supervised others in the HR team & Leadership teams to develop their coaching skills and embed coaching into the global organisation. Jo enjoys supervising internal coaches and leaders 1:1 or in groups where she can relate and challenge the issues that arise with internal coaches.

Jo’s work with executives often moves beyond the regular framework of coaching to more of an ‘executive reflection’ space. She works with these execs to provide a space in which they can consider their impacts across their whole environment – team, industry, leaders, family, community etc… As well as dealing with their ‘here-and-now’ issues they can also work to map out their future legacy and see what emerges.

Jo is dedicated to helping women at all levels of their career. She designs and runs end-to-end women’s development programs and works with HR and Leadership teams to design bespoke diversity solution for their organisations. This could be non- management training programs (Springboard UK) through to bespoke design executive level programs where there is strong focus on the top few earmarked for the executive ranks.

Qualifications

Jo has a Master’s Degree in Business, majoring in Human Resource Management. She is a certified L3 coach with the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership (IECL). She has a diploma in coaching supervision from the Coaching Supervision Academy (CSA).
