David Metherell
Director
David works collaboratively with individuals, teams and organisations to build capability and support purposeful change, and to improve business momentum through closer strategic and cultural alignment.

David is experienced as a coach, facilitator and consultant, working in private, public and not-for-profit organisations since 2004.
Prior to this, he enjoyed a 22-year corporate career in senior leadership roles in multinationals in Europe and Asia Pacific. During 11 years at Lion in Australia, as part of the executive leadership team he personally experienced the powerful impact of cultural transformation and discovered a passion for working with people to realise their true potential, both individually and as part of a team.
David combines his strategic and leadership development experience in working with organisations to improve business momentum through closer cultural and behavioural alignment with strategic priorities. This can often include helping dismantle individual or collective assumptions and behaviours previously impeding growth.
David is experienced in working with teams and draws from a broad spectrum of resources and practical learning experiences to inform a whole-systems approach to his work, including the use of structural dynamics methods.
He has a calm, practical approach to coaching and cultivates a reflective space where leaders can explore different perspectives and examine the broader scope of their leadership impact in different contexts, particularly in interpersonal aspects.
As a father of three, David enjoys spending time with his family, and his other interests outside of work include keeping fit, enjoying the great outdoors, and yoga.
Qualifications
David has an Honours First Degree in Law and is qualified as a solicitor in England and holds a Graduate Certificate in Systemic Leadership.
