Our Research Partners
We’ve partnered with world-leading thinkers, Professor Amy C. Edmondson in the field of psychological safety, and the late Dr. David Kantor in structural dynamics – their research and practice are at the core of our work and strengthen our ability to help people, teams and organisations perform well in complex, human systems.

Professor Amy C. Edmondson – Psychological Safety
Our work in psychological safety is grounded in more than 30 years of research led by Professor Amy C. Edmondson, Novartis Professor of Leadership and Management at Harvard Business School and one of the world’s foremost experts on team effectiveness and learning.
PeopleTalking is a founding partner of The Fearless Organization® and the accredited provider of psychological safety training and the Fearless Organization Scan across Australia, New Zealand and the Asia Pacific region. This partnership allows us to combine rigorous research with practical, human-centred application – helping leaders and teams create environments where people feel safe to speak up, learn and contribute.

“The PeopleTalking team are leaders in the psychological safety global learning journey, in particular related to how to design and deliver programs to increase the level of psychological safety in organisations, drawing on the brilliant work of David Kantor and his Structural Dynamics model.”

Dr. David Kantor/
The Kantor Institute – Structural Dynamics

Founded in 2014 by the late Dr. David Kantor (1928 – 2021), the Kantor Institute is dedicated to building expertise in his methodologies of model building and structural intervention to improve the performance of individuals, teams and organisations.
In his later years, David stayed true to his nature, vigorously working on unfinished material. During working sessions together in Boston, David asked Kieran White from PeopleTalking to take forward the ongoing stewardship of his work on Structural Dynamics.
We’re privileged to continue David’s important legacy, in collaboration with Kantor Instruments and Mark Fuller (Founder and CEO, Monitor Consulting).
How it works
Our work brings together Psychological Safety and Structural Dynamics to shape how people show up, relate, and perform at work.
Psychological safety describes the conditions where people feel able to speak up, learn, and take interpersonal risks. Structural Dynamics offers tools to help create those conditions – by understanding and working with the patterns of interaction that influence how individuals, teams and organisations function over time. Together, they provide a practical way to navigate through what’s happening beneath the surface, and make conversations work to deliver meaningful, lasting change.

Why this matters
These partnerships allow us to do what we do best: combine robust research with deep human insight to help people have high quality conversations, build psychological safety, and create conditions for sustainable performance and wellbeing.
Let’s make conversations work in your organisation.
We’ll help transform your people and business through conversations and meaningful connections that improve performance and wellbeing.
