Sarah Tocker

Sarah is based in Aotearoa New Zealand, and is Tangata Tiriti, based in Wellington. ​

Sarah has been working as a coach and facilitator for eighteen years with a background in leadership development, systems leadership, culture and change. She is particularly interested in helping people and organisations thrive in times of flux and adaptation, and in supporting leaders to create lasting improvements, personally and organisationally. ​

Sarah’s work involves coaching individuals and teams around important and challenging conversations. She’s known as a straight talker with an ability to see the core issues and enable groups and individuals to work on these in a safe and meaningful way.​

Sarah has led teams across public, private, and not for profit sectors over the past 20 years, from day to day operational Management through to Executive level People and Capability roles. These experiences mean that her support tends to be pragmatic and practical, linking theory with the reality of day to day leadership.​

Sarah has worked as an independent director for For Purpose organisations since 2017 and supports Boards and Governance Groups to review and build effective governance culture. ​

Working with people from diverse backgrounds, Sarah is skilled in helping clients to make sense of their own culture within their context and to pinpoint how this can be used to support them from a strengths-based perspective.
